With over 50 triathlons under my belt and 200lbs lost, I made the attempt in 2008 and 2009 to become an Ironman at Ironman Florida. With a trip to the medical tent in 2008 ending my race and missing the bike cut off in 2009, it became clear that more weight had to be lost to achieve the Ironman dream.
